Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

Bambi is a dating service built around real-world date invitations. This Privacy Policy explains how 2743206 Ontario Inc., an Ontario corporation operating Bambi (“Bambi,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information through the Bambi iOS app, joinbambi.com, and related communications (the “Service”).

For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@joinbambi.com. This policy applies to individuals in Canada and the United States. Some rights below depend on where you live.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you use Bambi, we collect information that you choose to give us, such as:

Information collected automatically. When you use the website or app, Bambi and its providers may process IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, device or app identifiers, pages or features used, referral information, approximate network-derived location, crash reports, security logs, and event timestamps. Although you choose your Bambi city manually, technical services can infer a general area from an IP address. Bambi does not require precise GPS location for its city-selection feature.

Payments. Paid iOS features and subscriptions are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. We may receive purchase status, product identifiers, subscription entitlement and transaction or receipt references needed to provide paid features, but we do not receive your full Apple payment-card number from Apple.

2. Sensitive information and public profiles

Dating-related information can be sensitive and may reveal personal preferences, identity, or aspects of your private life. Please choose carefully what you include in your profile, invitations, photographs, or messages. Certain profile details and invitations are intended to be shown to other members; private messages are meant for their participants and authorized service operations, but may be accessed when required for support, safety reviews, abuse prevention, or legal compliance. Do not post information that you would not want your intended audience to see.

3. How we use personal information

Where privacy law requires a particular legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, your consent (including for certain marketing or tracking activities), our legitimate interests where permitted, or compliance with legal obligations, as appropriate to the purpose.

4. Firebase, Cloudflare, and advertising analytics

We use Cloudflare for website delivery, security, and related infrastructure, and Google Firebase for app analytics and/or supporting app operations. These services may process device or technical information, diagnostics, usage events, and network identifiers in accordance with their roles and configuration. We also use advertising analytics or measurement services to assess campaign performance. Depending on the implementation and your device permissions, advertising measurement may involve attribution events and mobile identifiers.

We do not need precise GPS location to show dates in your selected city. Mobile tracking permission and other device privacy controls apply where required. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies and comparable technologies in more detail.

5. When personal information is shared

We do not publicly display private messages or sell access to private message content as a product. Advertising measurement can involve sharing technical identifiers or events with advertising partners; certain US privacy laws may characterize some advertising disclosures as “sharing” or a “sale” even if no money changes hands. Contact us about available opt-out rights.

6. Marketing and your choices

We may email you about Bambi launches, updates, and offers when you have requested them or where applicable law allows. You can unsubscribe using the link in a promotional message or by contacting us. Transactional or important service messages may still be sent where necessary. You can adjust applicable iOS privacy and advertising settings; if the app requests tracking permission, you can decline or change the permission in iOS settings.

7. Retention and account deletion

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including while your account is active, and for additional periods where required for legal obligations, financial records, disputes, fraud prevention, safety, or legitimate operational needs. Retention depends on the kind of record and its purpose; for example, billing-related records may have legally mandated retention, while some diagnostic information may be kept for shorter periods.

You can initiate deletion of your Bambi account in the iOS app. If you cannot access your account or want help exercising a privacy right, email contact@joinbambi.com. We will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account, subject to limited information that must or may lawfully be retained for the reasons above. Removing your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage that separately in your Apple Account settings.

Other members may have independently saved information previously shared with them, and we cannot erase copies they retain outside our control. Backup deletion may take additional time under operational retention cycles.

8. Privacy rights in Canada and the United States

Depending on your province or state, and subject to legal exceptions, you may request access to personal information, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, a copy of certain data, information about how your data is used, withdrawal of consent where applicable, or limits on certain forms of targeted advertising or profiling. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may also have rights to opt out of certain sales or sharing, targeted advertising, or eligible profiling, and to appeal a denied request.

To exercise a right, email contact@joinbambi.com with the request and the email associated with your account. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity without collecting more information than necessary. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law, explain any lawful denial, and tell you how to appeal where a right of appeal applies. You may also contact your applicable privacy regulator.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right protected by law. If you have questions about advertising disclosure or opt-out options, email us with the subject “Advertising privacy request.”

9. Storage and international processing

Bambi is based in Canada and serves users in Canada and the United States. Our infrastructure and vendors may process or store information in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where service providers operate. Information processed outside your region may be subject to the laws and lawful access requests of those jurisdictions. We use reasonable contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and applicable law.

10. Security

We use measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure, including access controls and service-provider security mechanisms. No app, online platform, or method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password where applicable and report suspected account compromise promptly.

11. Age restrictions

Bambi is for individuals 18 years or older. We do not knowingly allow minors to use the Service. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. External sites and services

Our website and app may link to third-party venues, maps, app stores, or other services. Their privacy practices and terms are separate from ours. We encourage you to review their policies before providing information to them.

13. Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted here with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
